Chemistry is the study of the fundamental properties of matter and at Radnor House we aim to give students a thorough understanding of the key concepts to understand the composition of the world around them.
The courses we run are highly practical, and help pupils to develop into confident and accomplished experimental scientists. From the outset, pupils are challenged to become methodical and precise in their work and to be able to apply their knowledge to practical problems in the subject. Pupils will study topics such as atomic structure, acids and bases, and electrolysis, through which they will develop an understanding of the central principles of the subject.
The analytical and numerical skill demanded by the subject stands pupils in good stead for many different career paths. We aim to prepare students to have the skills to be successful at higher education and beyond.
