Once the application is received applicants will be invited to undertake two interviews with the Director of Sixth Form and the Subject Leader of their subject choice, in the interviews they will be expected to talk about their personal statement submitted on their application form. They will also be asked to complete a computer adaptive cognitive ability test. We will contact their current school to request a reference and predicted grades at GCSE.

Conditional places will be offered subject to the results of the entrance procedure and will be based on expected grades at GCSE.

SEN Arrangements for 11+ applications

Arrangements will be made for applicants who have recognised specific learning requirements to ensure they are supported in the entrance procedure. Support can be in the form of additional time, the use of a laptop computer or other agreed strategies.

Please send copies of relevant reports confirming the details of the specific arrangements with the registration form. The specific arrangements for the examinations will only be confirmed once the relevant reports have been received.

Special consideration for English as an additional language. Appropriate arrangements for any applicant for whom English is not their first language will be made. However, the successful completion of the entrance procedure and interview are essential requirements for the offer of a place.

Siblings

Radnor House, as a co-educational school with a family centred ethos, prioritises the admission of siblings who wish to be educated at the same school. To facilitate this, preference will be given to applications from girls and boys who have a sibling currently being educated at the school.

Admission of a sibling to Radnor House is dependent on availability of places and on the sibling successfully completing the published assessment criteria for admission to Radnor House.
