Radnor House strives to create a diverse range of opportunities for pupils to both develop and showcase their talents within the Performing Arts environment.
We offer a range of drama clubs and activities, all taught by specialist teachers ranging from Improvisation and Drama clubs through to Prop and Set design. We offer specialist LAMDA tuition with the opportunity for all students to be put forward for their LAMDA qualification.
We also offer a wide selection of instrumental music tuition covering Brass, Strings, Woodwind, Voice, Drum and Guitar. Students are also welcome to join a wide selection of musical activities which range from Prep and Senior School Choir, Wind Band, Rock Band, African Drumming as well as smaller chamber ensembles such as the close harmony group, and the instrumental chamber music club. We also run a wider opportunities string group to help develop young musicians in the prep school.
Each academic year we put on two large scale productions including one musical performance. Twice per year, every pupil from Year 3-9 performs in an end of term concert. These concerts give pupils a chance to showcase and celebrate their classwork to friends and family. Additionally, we have a Soiree concert series with concerts taking place each half term. These concerts give provide pupils who are learning instruments with an opportunity to perform and develop their skills as soloists and chamber musicians, often giving them the chance to perform a selection of work before they take an exam.
