Radnor House operates a Prefect system which allows our senior students to take various responsibilities around the school. Prefects are role models to the whole of the school and embody the Radnor House values; Excellence, Respect, Courage and Perseverance. Whilst all Sixth Formers should see themselves as school leaders, some students will choose to apply to be a Prefect.
Students are invited to apply to be a Senior Prefect in U6 before the end of the Easter Term of their L6 year. Appointments will be made at the start of the Summer Term and the term of office runs from Summer Half Term to Summer Half Term.
Application is via letter addressed to the Head. Candidates will be selected by a combination of equally weighted student and staff votes and an interview with the Head and the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Applicants for Head Girl and Head Boy will also need to address the different sections of the school at Assembly. The new Senior School Prefects will be announced in the second week of the Summer Term
Each position comes with a bespoke job description.
