Y8 Latin Film Night

29th May 2017

Mrs Bird and Miss Burrows hosted another successful Latin Film Night last week.

Enthusiastic Y8 pupils watched "The Eagle", a modern re-telling of Rosemary Sutcliffe's classic children's novel "The Eagle of the Ninth", which is based on the true story of the disappearance of the Ninth Legion in Scotland, around 100AD. Chef's pizza was devoured, along with far too many snacks and sweets. Olivia Hornsby and Hugo Thewlis won the prizes for best costumes, as Juno and Julius Caesar respectively. The Film Night was a reward for Y8's hard work in completing the OCR Latin Entry Level Award.
Well done Y8 Latin students!
