Government and Politics

This course will enable students to develop an insight into political beliefs, central to an understanding of the modern world.

A-level Government and Politics enables students to develop their critical thinking skills and enhance their ability to interpret, evaluate and comment on the nature of politics. The course has been designed to encourage an interest in the study of politics.

Government and Politics is taught in the Sixth Form at Radnor House. For those interested in careers in the media, law, public administration, Europe, and, obviously, politics, this is a very useful and interesting course. It is an ideal subject to take alongside History, Geography, Economics, English or Modern Languages, but many combinations are possible. The subject develops skills of analysis, evaluation, and critical thinking.

There are opportunities to get further involved with Politics in an annual visit to Parliament, and through the school's Model United Nations (MUN) Society.
