Visit us

We are unfortunately unable to welcome visitors to the school at this time due to the current pandemic. The safety of our whole school community and prospective families is paramount and in keeping with Government guidelines, we are hopeful that we will be able to run our Open Events in person during the Autumn term. As soon as we are in a position to receive visitors, we will do so. Please click the link below to view options available.

There are three main entry points to Radnor House;

  • Year 5 into the Junior School
  • Year 7 into the Senior School
  • Sixth Form

Year 5 - Junior School

The main intake into the Junior School is at Year 5. We would advise parents to apply at least one year prior to entry. The entry procedure for Year 5 is via a short English and Maths assessment and a classroom-based activity, subject to change due to any revised government guidelines.

One class with approximately 20 places is available to girls and boys following a successful performance in the assessment.

Pupils who join us in Year 5 will not require further assessment to join the Senior School in Year 7 as they have already passed the entrance criteria at 9+

Year 7 - Senior School

The main intake into the Senior School is at Year 7 with approximately 46 external places available to create a cohort of around 66 children.

Radnor House is academically selective and all applicants will sit 11+ papers in Mathematics and English. Informal group interviews with the Head or Deputy Head, will be held for all applicants during the Autumn prior to the assessments in January. Registrations must be received by the published deadline. Places are offered subject to the successful completion of the entrance procedure, please click the link below for further details.

Sixth Form

We welcome applications from external applicants to join our Sixth Form, subject to a conditional offer based on GCSE results and successful performance in the interviews and school reference.

The Sixth Form Information and A Level booklet can be downloaded from our Sixth Form Academic page
